Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and perform daily and preventive maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
• Strictly adhere to PPE usage and safety policies.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and record data.
• Change out equipment for different materials and calibrate equipment.
• Follow ISO9001 and internal quality standards; dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Accurately read, record material manufacture dates, serial numbers, and related criteria.
• Manage inventory and maintain internal MOQs for materials.
• Perform vapor smoothing setups and fixture parts for smoothing.
• Keep work area clean and organized; participate in housekeeping.

Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician at our Statesville, NC facility. In this role you will setup, operate, clean, and maintain additive machines to assure efficient operations, prevent contamination and achieve high utilization. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of additive manufacturing.

SHIFT FOR THIS ROLE:

the shift for this role is an overnight weekend shift working 3 12-hour shifts, Friday-Sunday. Start time is between 6pm and 8pm. Please note training will take place on day shift before anyone is moved to the regular night shift.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Setup, operate and perform daily as well as preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
• Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments i.e. calipers, micrometers, gage pins height gages, dial indicators and precision scales.
• Changing out equipment to different materials and calibration of equipment
• Adhering to the ISO9001 standard and complying with internal quality standards
• Proper disposal of hazardous waste
• Ability to accurately read and record information (i. e. material manufacture date, serial number, and other criteria) that is critical to the production process.
• Handling inventory and keeping up with internal MOQ’s for frequently used materials
• Part breakouts as related to MJF build units and adherence to tight scheduling
• Vapor smoothing setups and how to operate the equipment as well as fixturing parts for smoothing
• Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks. Actively participate in housekeeping efforts by maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe work area
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.
• For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms (including above shoulder height and below the waist); climb/balance; stoop, kneel, crouch/bend, or crawl; talk or hear; and lift up to 50 pounds.
