Job summary

ADDMAN in New York seeks an Additive Manufacturing Technician to set up, operate, clean, and maintain additive equipment to ensure efficient production and high utilization. You will join a skilled team pushing the limits of additive manufacturing.

The role requires PPE discipline, accuracy in reading measurements, familiarity with ISO9001 and internal quality standards, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Prior CNC/additive experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years in a precision CNC machining, additive, or manufacturing environment.
  • Previous aerospace quality experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing / CNC machining processes.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and perform daily as well as preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
  • Strictly adheres to proper use of PPE.
  • Ability to read, write, and record information such as manufacture date and serial numbers.
  • Change equipment for different materials and calibrate equipment.
  • Follow ISO9001 and internal quality standards.
  • Proper disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Handle inventory and monitor internal MOQs for materials.
  • Perform vapor smoothing setups and fixturing for smoothing.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in housekeeping.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

We are looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician. In this role you will setup, operate, clean, and maintain additive machines to assure efficient operations, prevent contamination and achieve high utilization. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of additive manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions
  • Setup, operate and perform daily as well as preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
  • Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments i.e. calipers, micrometers, gage pins height gages, dial indicators and precision scales.
  • Changing out equipment to different materials and calibration of equipment
  • Adhering to the ISO9001 standard and complying with internal quality standards
  • Proper disposal of hazardous waste
  • Ability to accurately read and record information (i. e. material manufacture date, serial number, and other criteria) that is critical to the production process.
  • Handling inventory and keeping up with internal MOQ’s for frequently used materials
  • Part breakouts as related to MJF build units and adherence to tight scheduling
  • Vapor smoothing setups and how to operate the equipment as well as fixturing parts for smoothing
  • Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks. Actively participate in housekeeping efforts by maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe work area
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Requirements
ITAR REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.

Work Environment
  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms (including above shoulder height and below the waist); climb/balance; stoop, kneel, crouch/bend, or crawl; talk or hear; and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
  • Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
