Job summary

DISHER Corp. is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician in Grand Rapids, MI. You will engage in 3D printing, CAD modeling, and post-processing of tooling, while supporting various manufacturing disciplines.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, cleanliness, and proactive collaboration with suppliers. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in manufacturing, basic CAD skills, and a mechanical mindset. A degree related to 3D printing is preferred but not required; flexibility and physical stamina

• Associates or Bachelors related to 3D printing preferred but not required
• Basic 3D CAD skills
• Organizational skills to maintain workshop cleanliness
• Technical mindset and mechanical aptitude

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Assist in Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) operations
• Learn and apply CAD 3D modeling skills
• Perform secondary prep and finishing machine operations
• Clean and perform basic equipment maintenance
• Participate in multiple manufacturing disciplines (heat treating, Wire EDM, hand polishing, etc.)
• Set up, build, and manage post-processing of additive tooling
• Coordinate with suppliers as needed
• Execute quality control on parts

Job description
