Job summary

Moses Lake Industries is seeking an operator/technician to join our growing team in Moses Lake, WA. You will support production processes, maintain SOPs, and participate in safety and quality initiatives in a high-purity chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, performing maintenance tasks, managing documentation in CMMS, and contributing to continuous improvement. A high school diploma, respirator clearance, and strong attention to detail are required; we

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical clearance to wear a supplied-air respirator is required.
• Ability to manipulate common hand tools is required.
• Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
• Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of assigned tasks per department standards and guidelines with ownership and initiative.
• Maintain certification and prerequisite training for production processes.
• Participate in root-cause / corrective action investigations.
• Ensure SOPs are accurate and followed for every process.
• Write or edit SOPs for new or changed processes.
• Initiate Equipment Deficiency Reports and drive deficiencies to closure.
• Maintain detailed, accurate work orders in CMMS and participate in JSA analyses.
• Track raw material inventories to support reaction scheduling.
• Diagnose tagged-out equipment and arrange repair or replacement; follow electrical safety training requirements.
• Assemble, disassemble, clean, load and maintain chemical reactors; handle chemicals safely.
• Prepare samples in clean environments to minimize contamination.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas following good chemical hygiene.
• Prepare weekly written summaries of activities, progress, milestones, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform maintenance tasks on systems or equipment as assigned.
• Execute tasks per SOPs and RFCs; assist in developing RFCs and documentation.
• Help develop new procedures and update existing ones for safety and clarity.
