Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician to operate LPBF and related equipment onsite. You will perform setup, powder loading, file execution, and necessary training while ensuring high-quality builds per work orders.

You will also handle post-processing, heat-treatment prep, and preventive maintenance, documenting data in MES/work orders and collaborating with engineering on process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; related technical training is a plus.
• 3+ years in technical manufacturing, machine operation, or related environments.
• Ability to understand English work instructions and perform basic math.
• Ability to read drawings, travelers, and parts lists; document work accurately.
• Experience using precision measuring tools in a controlled manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and safe prioritization of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor laser powder bed fusion equipment to produce builds per work orders.
• Perform machine setup, powder loading, build file execution and in-house training.
• Post-process parts: depowdering, cleaning, deburring, polishing per drawings.
• Prepare parts for heat treatment and complete post-heat-treatment steps.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document maintenance logs.
• Inspect parts, document nonconformances, and support rework per engineering instructions.
• Work from drawings, instructions, lists, and schedules; communicate status clearly.
• Manage daily production priorities with leads and planners to meet targets.
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot builds and improve processes.
• Record production activity and inspection data in MES or work orders.
