Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab is seeking an experienced leader to guide a high-performing engineering team. The role focuses on transitioning emerging AM materials and processes into production-ready, certifiable platforms for aerospace applications.

You will oversee two AM labs, drive cross-disciplinary collaboration, manage staffing and budgets, and provide engineering support to aero programs and external customers.

Qualifications

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secretclearance.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

• Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships.
• Experience with development of air vehicle products.
• Experience preparing and delivering presentations to internal leadership and external customers.
• Experience with strategic technical planning and proposal development.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
• Planning and management of personnel resources, staff development and capital resources. Including recruitment, selection, training, assignments, performance, merit planning, recognition and disciplinary actions.
• Experience supporting classified and sensitive programs.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
