A leading engineering firm is seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer for its Additive Manufacturing team. This role involves providing technical expertise and pre-sales support for 3D printer sales. Candidates must have experience in operating 3D printers and strong CAD skills. Travel is required, and the ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills along with a technical background in Additive Manufacturing. This is an onsite position based in Des Plaines, IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Additive Manufacturing or related technical support roles.
• Strong understanding of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technical expertise and pre‑sales support for the Additive Manufacturing business.
• Engage in on‑site consultations with clients to discover cost‑saving opportunities.
• Lead training sessions on 3D printer operation and maintenance.
• Perform maintenance, technical support, diagnosis, and repair on 3D printers.
