Dijital Team Pty is seeking a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer to serve as the senior escalation point within a managed services team. You will own complex issues across Microsoft 365, Azure and modern cloud infrastructure, mentor junior engineers and deliver customer infrastructure projects.
The role requires hands-on expertise, strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to building technical standards across the engineering group.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer to become the senior technical escalation point within a managed services engineering team.
This is a hands-on Level 3 role focused on Microsoft 365, Azure and modern cloud infrastructure. You will own complex technical issues through to resolution, deliver customer infrastructure projects, provide expert technical guidance, and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers.
The role is suited to a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex problems while actively building the capability, confidence and technical standards of the wider engineering team.
You will be working with an established managed technology services provider delivering managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud and networking solutions. The organisation is focused on combining exceptional technical expertise with automation and modern technology to deliver high-quality services to its customers.

- Take ownership of complex technical issues through to resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
- Support engineers with troubleshooting and technical decision-making
- Ensure escalated issues are resolved efficiently and appropriately documented
- Provide expert technical support across Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Support Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and Defender
- Work with Conditional Access and Microsoft Secure Score
- Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, Files, Backup, Identity and Azure Virtual Desktop
- Maintain current knowledge of Microsoft technologies, security recommendations and best practices
- Plan and implement customer infrastructure projects end-to-end
- Deliver Microsoft 365 migrations and Azure deployments
- Implement Intune solutions and Windows Server upgrades
- Modernise Active Directory environments
- Deliver infrastructure refreshes and security improvements
- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Support network upgrades and larger cloud infrastructure deployments
- Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 engineers
- Build the technical capability of the wider service desk
- Review escalated issues with engineers to improve knowledge and confidence
- Develop technical documentation and internal technical standards
- Recommend improvements to systems, automation and operational processes
- Maintain high-quality technical documentation
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures
- Ensure customer environments align with established technical standards
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive technical tasks
- Contribute to continuous improvement across technical operations
