Kingsboro Psychiatric Center is seeking an Addictions Counselor 1 to deliver counseling, treatment, and recovery services to individuals with mental illness. Duties include assessments, treatment planning, and conducting counseling sessions.

Qualifications

• CASAC certification or eligibility under NY HELPS program.
• Within State Service: 1 year permanent competitive service in a transferable title.

Responsabilités

• Provide addictions counseling and treatment services to individuals with mental illness.
• Complete psychosocial assessments and substance-related screenings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with goals and objectives.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Monitor progress and maintain records.
• Educate and inform individuals and families throughout treatment.
