Job summary

Mainspring Recovery in Dumfries, VA is seeking a dedicated Therapist to support clients 18+ across residential and outpatient levels of care. You will provide therapeutic services, develop plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to guide recovery and engagement.

The role emphasizes evidence-based interventions, crisis management, and strong documentation to meet accreditation and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in Addictions Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in human services, SUD treatment, or related setting.
• Experience using EMR systems for clinical documentation.
• Experience conducting both individual and group counseling sessions.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake assessments following pre-assessment.
• Develop individualized service and treatment plans.
• Present clients in treatment team meetings.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions.
• Facilitate didactic lectures, client groups, and other activities.
• Maintain contact with individuals involved in client care.
• Collaborate with Case Management and interdisciplinary team members.
• Meet documentation requirements for accreditation, licensing, and billing.
