Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a 4-year general adult psychiatry residency.
• 1–2 years of specialized addiction psychiatry fellowship.

Responsabilités

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and follow-up management.
• Provide pharmacotherapy and routine medical evaluation.
• Conduct assessments and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Initiate evidence-based drug therapy per NYSOMH protocols.
• Supervise residents and medical students as preceptor.
• Collaborate with primary therapist and care team.
• Develop and review treatment plans per NYSOMH standards.
• Deliver crisis intervention and supportive counseling.
• Coordinate with ED for patient admissions to BH units.
