University of Vermont Medical Center seeks a Mental Health Clinician - LADC to join the Addiction Treatment Center in Burlington, VT. You will work in a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based outpatient services for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, including individual and group therapy, and coordination with medical and peer supports.

Role requires a Master’s in a behavioral health field and Vermont LADC or ability to obtain within one year, plus relevant

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health or related field.
• Active LADC license in Vermont or ability to obtain within one year.
• Active license as a clinical social worker, clinical mental health counselor or marriage and family therapist in Vermont.
• Training in CBT/DBT approaches to mental health symptom reduction or alleviation.
• Experience with motivational interviewing and crisis intervention.

Responsabilités

• Evaluating new patients and diagnosing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders per DSM/ICD.
• Assessing level of care using ASAM criteria.
• Providing direct patient care: individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
• Co-facilitating an intensive outpatient program.
• Coordinating care with internal and external providers including ED and psychiatry.
• Formulating and updating the plan of care; coordinating treatment through discharge.

Formation

Master’s degree in a behavioral health or related field

LADC license Vermont or ability to acquire within one year

Clinical social worker / mental health counselor / marriage and family therapist license Vermont

CBT/DBT approaches to mental health symptom reduction

Motivational interviewing

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
