Job Description

The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, is seeking candidates for outpatient addiction medicine and primary care physician positions at the Sheller Bridge Program, the Hospital to HOME partnership, and the Jefferson Family Medicine Associates practice.

JFMA is the flagship academic training site of Jefferson's Department of Family and Community Medicine, serving a diverse patient population of approximately 30,000. The team includes faculty physicians, nurse practitioners, residents, fellows, and staff, committed to interprofessional, patient-centered care. Services encompass primary care, reproductive health, opioid use disorder treatment, gender-affirming care, and more. Established in 1974, the department has graduated over 380 family physicians, many of whom serve in underserved areas or pursue academic careers.

Responsibilities include:

Jefferson Addiction Multidisciplinary Services Sheller Bridge and Hospital to HOME

• Provide outpatient addiction medicine (including medications for opioid and alcohol use disorders) and primary care (women's health, gynecological exams)
• Serve as assistant medical director of the Hospital to HOME program and participate in team meetings
• Supervise addiction medicine fellows at the Hospital to HOME and Sheller Bridge programs
• Deliver outpatient and home-based addiction and primary care at various sites
• Teach students and residents at the Sheller Bridge Program

Jefferson Family Medicine Associates

• Provide outpatient family medicine, including women's health, gynecologic exams, and pediatric care
• Competency in office procedures preferred; prenatal care encouraged
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver patient-centered care
• Manage patient panels, chronic and acute conditions, and preventive care
• Opportunities to teach students and residents

Requirements
