Job description

Looking for an Addictions Medicine physician to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals struggling with addiction in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cases involving co-occurring substance abuse disorder and chronic pain
  • Initiate and maintain methadone and buprenorphine treatments
  • Provide substance use disorder treatment to launch an inpatient addiction medicine consult service 4 days a week in a Hospital environment
  • Serve patients in ambulatory clinic one day a week

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Practice (FP)
  • Previous experience in addiction medicine
  • Expertise in managing opioid use disorder
  • Valid IL state medical license.
  • DEA and Controlled Substance License - MAT preferred but not required

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in methadone maintenance continuation and ongoing maintenance
  • Experience with buprenorphine initiation and maintenance

Job Location Details:

  • Monday - Friday (either 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm)
  • Adults only
  • Malpractice paid
