Job summary

Coastal Recovery is seeking an Alcohol and Drug Counselor for Myrtle Beach, SC, to provide individual and group counseling within PHP and IOP. The role involves tight adherence to ASAM criteria, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2, with a focus on trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care.

The position is full-time and on-site, offering a pathway to licensure advancement and a collaborative clinical environment committed to ethical, high-quality addiction treatment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field meeting South Carolina licensure requirements.
• Active, full South Carolina licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LISW-CP, or LAC with good standing.
• Active Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) credential or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling services within PHP and IOP levels of care.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM-aligned treatment plans.
• Maintain documentation and ongoing client records per standards.
• Collaborate with medical providers, case managers, and peer support staff to coordinate care.
• Participate in supervision, case consultation, and reflective practice.
