Job summary

Seaside Counseling and Wellness in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a compassionate Addictions Counselor to join our growing team. This role focuses on supporting individuals and families navigating addiction and recovery, offering personalized care and evidence-based interventions.

You will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and provide individual, group, and family counseling using CBT, motivational interviewing, and 12-step facilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active or eligible SC licensure (LCAS, LPC, LMSW).
• Experience in substance abuse, addiction counseling, or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Familiarity with CBT and motivational interviewing.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on substance use and addiction recovery.
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and 12-step facilitation.
