Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Cambridge, MA is seeking an experienced biologist with biologics drug discovery expertise to join the Discovery Biology team within the Oncology Thematic Research Center. The qualified candidate will advance programs from target validation to lead optimization, coordinating across a highly matrixed organization to drive IND-enabling biology activities.

This role entails designing and executing experiments to elucidate mechanism of action and to develop screening assays

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of academic/industrial experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in life sciences.
• Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Uses function-based identification to select antibody-drug-conjugate lead candidates.
• Defines PD/efficacy relationships and designs molecular/cellular studies.
• Collaborates with biology, pharmacology, DMPK and informatics teams.
• Prepares data presentations for lab and team meetings.
• Performs experiments independently and maintains detailed records.
• Conducts tissue culture, qPCR, western blot, flow cytometry, and related assays.
