Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle seeks a Systems/DevOps Engineer to own mission critical services in ADC, delivering robust cloud solutions for high-demand government and commercial customers.

You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, deepen your automation skills, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and security while supporting AWS's expansive infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments
  • 3+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows)
  • Experience with automation, testing, or monitoring framework development
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities

  • Own and advance mission critical services in AWS Dedicated Clouds (ADC)
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues for large-scale cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to improve cloud services and customer experience
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to best practices in DevOps and security

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon's world class Database and Analytics focused technical team in Seattle WA, working with some of the best and brightest engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies anywhere.

A successful engineer joining the team will do much more than write code and triage problems. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experience
  • 3+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows) experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
