Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Systems/DevOps Engineer to own mission critical services in the Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC) within AWS Infrastructure Services.

You will work on large-scale, distributed systems and help optimize customer outcomes in a rapidly evolving cloud environment. The role requires active TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility, strong scripting, Linux/Windows administration, and experience with cloud technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments.
  • Experience in systems administration (Linux or Windows).
  • Experience with automation, testing, or monitoring framework development.

Responsibilities

  • Own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC).
  • Work with customers and teams to address unique technical problems and scale cloud solutions.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experience
  • 3+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows) experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments
  • Experience in systems administration (Linux or Windows)
  • Experience with automation, testing, or monitoring framework development
  • Experience working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience
  • 3+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows) experience
  • 3+ years of scripting language experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of cloud computing technologies experience
  • 3+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience
  • 3+ years of work supporting procedures and methodologies for production computing environments experience
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies
  • Experience in networking and troubleshooting

  • Experience automating routine tasks

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
