Job summary

Valeo North America seeks a Test & Validation Co-Op in its Mechatronics rotation program. You will help build validation plans and learn how to ensure ADAS-related systems meet reliability standards.

You will gain hands-on experience with NI tools (LabVIEW/TestStand), Python or Java, and data reporting while collaborating across a multinational team. This internship runs part-time in a dynamic R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Currently a student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong interest in National Instruments tools (LabVIEW/TestStand) and programming languages like Python or Java.
• Analytical mindset: able to read and interpret technical documents or schematics.
• Agility and teamwork: think on your feet and collaborate in a multinational environment.

Responsibilities

• Validation Planning: assist in analyzing customer specifications and defining validation plans that meet targets.
• Test Execution: use bench equipment and lab tools to understand delivered products and identify failures.
• Technical Tools: develop test scripts using LabVIEW and TestStand under guidance of Methods & Tools team.
• Problem Management: support DUT failure analysis and participate in weekly project reviews.
• Reporting: help generate test reports, peer-review data, and maintain dashboards.
• Lab Efficiency: contribute to automation of test environment processes and lab instructions.
• Rotations: Mechanical Electrical Environmental Validation & Testing Warranty
