Job summary

TSMG seeks a detail-oriented Driver/Pilot to support our ADAS data collection project. The role involves operating a test vehicle equipped with sensors, driving predefined routes, and ensuring accurate data acquisition under varying driving and environmental conditions.

You will collaborate with the local coordinator and technical team to maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and handle data storage and backups, while accommodating field-based travel across multiple locations including

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Comfortable driving long hours in varying conditions.
• Basic technical literacy, especially in handling computers, external drives, and remote software tools.
• Strong attention to detail and following procedures.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with the coordination team.

Responsibilities

• Operate the test vehicle across road and traffic conditions.
• Travel between locations as required (e.g., Tokyo, North Japan, Detroit).
• Follow routes with driving objectives (e.g., overtaking car carriers, stopping at crossings, or maintaining specific speeds).
• Update routes in coordination with the local coordinator.
• Comply with all local traffic regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Monitor and maintain rooftop sensor system and external battery.
• Handle prototype vehicles with care and maintain confidentiality.
• Manage data storage media and backups; operate data collection software and remote desktop tools.
