Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an ADAS Engineer to lead design and development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Hybrid work model requires proximity to Dearborn, MI.

You will develop control algorithms in Matlab/Simulink and guide MiL development for ADAS features. The role demands a Master’s degree in a related field and about 2 years of relevant experience, with hands-on work in radar/camera/LIDAR integration, embedded software and model-based design.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Experience with radar, camera or LIDAR integration with ADAS features.
• Experience developing and testing software for embedded hardware.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink for feature development and testing.
• Familiarity with CAN-based data collection and analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of Model-Based Design processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
• Develop new control algorithms for feature function and interfaces using Matlab and Simulink.
• Lead MiL development for Pre-Collision Assist and other ADAS features.
• Conduct analysis of feature performance using Simulink MiL environment.
• Support development of feature specifications, FMEAs, robustness disciplines and DVP.
