Job summary

Bellevue School District is seeking a Substitute Special Education Assistive Technology Specialist for the 2026-27 school year. The role works with the assistive technology team to support 3-21 year old students, providing training and access to inclusive technology and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

The incumbent promotes equity and collaborates with teachers, specialists, and families to implement AT solutions, while coordinating with SSTC and the district technology team.

Qualifications

• ESA or WA Special Education certificate or ESA endorsement.
• Experience in assistive technology including AAC and speech generating devices.
• Demonstrated professional development experience delivering AT content.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to implement assistive technology solutions across classrooms.
• Respond to AT support requests from staff and school teams.
• Plan and deliver staff development on AT devices, software and practices.
• Consult with IEP teams to determine AT solutions for students.
• Coordinate AT services to ensure continuity across grade levels.
• Assist in AT budget planning and management.
• Liaise between AT and the technology department.
