Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim School Tustin is seeking a part-time SNAP Instructor to teach Students Needing Adaptive Programming. This role focuses on water safety, swim skill development, and confidence-building for children with disabilities in a supportive, adaptive environment.

No prior swim instruction required; comprehensive training will be provided. The position offers 5-10 hours per week with weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday, 3-8 PM) and pay between $27 and $30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children with disabilities (educational, therapeutic, or caregiving setting).
• Strong interpersonal skills with patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Ability to provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to students.
• No prior swim instruction required; training will be provided.
• Must be dependable and maintain 90% attendance throughout employment. Also available to work weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday, 3-8 PM).
• NO seasonal availability. Must be available year-round.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction exclusively to students in the SNAP program.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs, abilities, and learning styles of each child.
• Ensure a safe, structured, and inclusive environment during all lessons.
• Communicate progress and goals with parents, caregivers, and guardians.
• Maintain consistency and reliability in attendance and scheduling.
• Follow Aqua-Tots' established safety protocols and curriculum standards.
• Participate in required training and professional development.
