Job summary

Swim Angelfish seeks an Aquatic Coordinator in New Hampshire to balance teaching adaptive swim lessons with program support, approx 30 hours weekly. This role offers consistency, greater responsibility, and growth within Swim Angelfish.

You will teach adaptive lessons part of the week and handle administrative tasks, scheduling, waitlists, and communication with families, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality instruction.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year swimming or aquatics experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Comfort communicating with parents and caregivers by phone, email, and text.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of details.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and adaptive strategies.
  • Strong reliability and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Providing individualized adaptive swim instruction to children with disabilities and diverse support needs.
  • Using Swim Angelfish strategies and training to support each swimmer’s success.
  • Building positive relationships with swimmers, parents, and caregivers.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with families.
  • Evaluating swimmer needs and adapting lessons appropriately.
  • Following individualized lesson goals and treatment recommendations when applicable.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized pool environment.
  • Arriving on time, prepared, and ready to teach.
  • Participating in ongoing training, mentorship, and feedback.
  • Pre-appointment communication with families.
  • Post-appointment client follow-up.
  • Responding to routine client questions.
  • Supporting scheduling and schedule changes.
  • Managing cancellations and available openings.
  • Maintaining and updating program wait lists.
  • Contacting families when appropriate openings become available.
  • Helping match swimmers with available instructors and lesson times.
  • Following up with prospective or wait-listed families.
  • Filling out a daily report for Aquatic Manager.
  • Communicating schedule changes and important updates to instructors.
  • Helping identify scheduling gaps or opportunities to improve program utilization.
  • Escalating more complex client concerns to management when appropriate.
  • Supporting administrative projects related to the assigned aquatic program.
