Job summary

Swim Angelfish is seeking an Aquatic Coordinator to deliver adaptive swim instruction and manage program coordination. The role blends teaching with administrative duties, about 30 hours per week, including weekend shifts, with room to grow within the program.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of aquatics and child-facing experience, is highly organized, reliable, coachable, and eager to develop leadership within Swim Angelfish over time.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of swimming or aquatics experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort communicating with parents and caregivers by phone, email, and text.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of details.
• Ownership and follow-through.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and adaptive strategies.
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a larger team.
• Interest in growing within Swim Angelfish long-term.

Responsibilities

• Adaptive Swim Instruction: Provide individualized adaptive swim instruction to children with disabilities and diverse support needs.
• Use Swim Angelfish strategies and training to support each swimmer’s success.
• Build positive relationships with swimmers, parents, and caregivers; communicate clearly and professionally.
• Evaluate swimmer needs and adapt lessons accordingly; follow individualized goals and recommendations.
• Maintain a safe and organized pool environment; arrive prepared to teach; participate in ongoing training.
