Job summary

Kids First Sports Center in Cincinnati, OH is hiring an Adaptive Swim Coach. You will provide individual and group swim instruction to children ages 3-12 with special needs, with training in our curriculum provided. No prior swim instruction experience required; we value heart, patience, and a genuine desire to work with this community.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule in a large, multi-program facility with on-site therapy services and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with special needs.
• Comfortable in and around water; prior swim instruction is a plus but not required.
• Patient, adaptable and encouraging teaching style.
• Strong communication with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group swim instruction to children ages 3-12 with special needs.
• Adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s needs and abilities.
• Build trust and rapport with students and their families.
• Communicate student progress to parents and caregivers.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment in and around the pool.
• Collaborate with Kids First staff to support the student experience.
• Complete training in Kids First’s swim curriculum and adaptive teaching methods.
