Job summary

Kids First Sports Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Adaptive Swim Coach to help shape a developing program for ages 3-12. This role offers a flexible, part-time or PRN schedule and no prior swim instruction experience is required because we provide training in our proven curriculum.

You will foster a patient, supportive learning environment, build trust with families, and work with our team to expand a growing aquatic program that serves children with special needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with special needs individuals or strong interest in doing so.
• Comfortable around water; prior swim instruction is a plus but not required.
• Patient, adaptable and encouraging teaching style.
• Excellent communication with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group swim instruction to children with special needs aged 3-12.
• Adapt lesson plans to each student’s needs and abilities.
• Build trust with students and their families.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers.
• Maintain a safe, supportive pool environment.
• Collaborate with staff to support the student experience.

Salary Range: $17.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Kids First Sports Center is seeking an energetic, patient, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Adaptive Swim Coach. This is a chance to help shape the future of a growing program from the ground up, and to be part of building something that will change the way families with special needs children experience youth sports. No prior swim instruction experience is required. We will train you in our swim curriculum. What we are looking for is heart, patience, and a genuine desire to work with special needs students ages 3-12.

Kids First Sports Center offers over 100,000 square feet of youth sport facilities, including gymnastics, preschool gymnastics, swim, ninja, dance, and cheer programs, all under one roof. As you grow with us, there are opportunities to expand into other program areas as well, including gymnastics, preschool, and ninja. Kids First also offers occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy on-site, so families can access a full range of support for their child in one place.

• Patient, adaptable, and encouraging teaching style.
• Strong communication skills with children and parents.
• Reliable and available for a flexible part-time or PRN schedule.
