Job summary

Albany County School District #1 is seeking a Substitute Teacher/Paraprofessional to instruct students in the absence of the regular teacher. Position located at Administration Building - Laramie, Wyoming.

The role requires delivering lessons, upholding confidentiality, and maintaining a professional classroom environment in accordance with district goals and curriculum. Compensation includes daily rates with SPED/Non-SPED differentials; additional duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Certification required: Substitute Certification or Standard Teaching Certification from Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board.
• Experience working with students in a school environment is a plus.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers classroom instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Maintains confidentiality of student and school personnel information.
• Implements lesson plans using approved curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Motivates students and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Supervises students and ensures safety throughout the day.
• Attends to non-teaching duties as assigned (lunch/recess/study hall).
• Follows district policies and professional responsibilities.
