New Horizons in Los Angeles is seeking an Adaptive Skills Training (AST) Specialist to empower adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The role focuses on individualized instruction to build independence and life skills.

You will implement plans to develop adaptive, social, vocational, communication, and daily living skills while promoting community integration. A Bachelor's degree is required; RBT and ACRE certifications are preferred and training is provided.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Education, Social Work, Rehabilitation, or related field.
• RBT certification is preferred.
• ACRE Certification in Customized Employment provided if needed.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Valid California Driver's License and driving experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide individualized adaptive skills training and support.
• Implement training plans to develop adaptive, social, vocational, communication, and daily living skills.
• Promote community integration according to IPP/PCP and applicable DDS requirements.
