Job summary

A developmental support organization in California is seeking an Adaptive Skills Training Specialist to oversee and train individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living skills and safety awareness. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. This full-time position demands in-field training, service monitoring, and the ability to adapt to various client needs and environments, with physical demands including lifting and driving between sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Must complete 12 hours of Continuing Educational Units (CEU) annually.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret client AST and behavior plans.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of clients with developmental disabilities.
• Provide training and supervision in various personal and safety skills.
• Monitor services and individuals' progress to establish goals.
