Job summary

PSIA-AASI Western Region seeks Ski and Snowboard Instructors to deliver on-snow adaptive programs at Park City, UT, pairing with participants to provide safe and engaging experiences.

Instructors contribute to a supportive team, participate in mandatory trainings in late November, and must pass a background check. The role is seasonal, non-exempt, starting at $20/hour with experience-based progression.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced skiing and/or riding skills.
• Must attend mandatory training sessions that begin late November.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor employment visas or other immigration processes to attain or maintain employment eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, family, and/or group instruction to a variety of skill levels utilizing adaptive techniques, strategies, and equipment as necessary.
• Upholds safety/risk management protocols in a caring and fun environment for participants, volunteers, and staff.
• Ensures individuals are utilizing equipment or activities appropriate to their needs, in a safe and effective manner.
• Completes required documentation after completion of lessons.
• Serves as a positive representative and ambassador of National Ability Center programs, events, and activities in our community.
• Commits to continuing education in the adaptive field utilizing internal and external resources to ensure our programs promote growth, empowerment, and improvement.
• Communicates clearly, honestly, and respectfully with all staff, participants, parents, volunteers, management, and co-workers.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with participants, families, and community partners; addresses participant concerns and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and necessary support for every participant.
• Upholds and demonstrates National Ability Center core values.
