Job summary

Ampersand Therapy seeks an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for a school-based role in Concord, NC for the 2026–2027 school year. You will provide adapted PE to students with disabilities, helping them develop motor skills and confidence while supporting participation in the school environment.

Required licensure includes NC Educator License with NCDPI Adaptive Curriculum licensure (or eligibility). Experience with disabilities and strong collaboration skills are preferred; school-based

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Educator License with NCDPI Adaptive Curriculum licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide adapted physical education services to students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized physical education plans.
• Assess student motor skills and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success.
• Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings, as appropriate.
