Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for a full-time role in Concord, NC for the 2026–2027 school year. You will deliver adapted PE to students with disabilities, implement individualized plans, and support progress in school settings.

Ideal candidates hold a NC Educator License with Adaptive Curriculum licensure (or are eligible). Collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families is essential, with documentation and IEP participation as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Educator License with NCDPI Adaptive Curriculum licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide adapted physical education services to students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized physical education plans.
• Assess student motor skills and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success.
• Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings, as appropriate.
