Job summary

Edu-Aids is seeking a motivated Adapted PE Instructor for Canal Winchester, OH. This part-time role (2 days per week) will help students with diverse needs develop motor skills, physical fitness, confidence, and social interaction through individualized and inclusive physical education programs.

You will plan adapted lessons, modify activities, assess progress, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement adapted physical education lessons based on students' individual abilities and needs.
• Modify physical activities, equipment, and instructional techniques to ensure accessibility and participation.
• Provide direct instruction to students in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
• Support students in achieving physical education and IEP-related goals when applicable.
• Assess student performance and monitor progress throughout the school year.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment during all physical education activities.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training as required.

• Knowledge of adaptive physical education principles and inclusive teaching practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
