Job summary

The Odyssey Prep Academy is seeking a Guest Teacher to support instruction across assignments. You will implement lesson plans, maintain a productive classroom, and ensure student engagement in the absence of the regular teacher.

Daily on-call substitutes are needed across campuses in the district. Qualified applicants hold an accredited degree, a Substitute Certificate or Emergency Substitute Certificate, and an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college/university and Substitute Certificate or Emergency Substitute Certificate.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Experience with children or in education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive learning environment and respond to student needs.
• Implement lessons provided by the regular teacher.
• Follow district policies and safety procedures.
• Keep students supervised and on-task throughout the day.
• Leave detailed notes for the returning teacher.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality.
