Qualifications

• Eligible to be issued a Missouri Substitute Teacher’s Certificate after documenting at least 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
• Missouri Teaching Certificate.
• The position requires a professional license pursuant to state law.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Analyze learning styles and adapt teaching strategies.
• Select age-appropriate activities and safe materials.
• Conduct IEP meetings.
• Coordinate behavioral support plans for students.
• Coordinate communication systems for students.
• Develop time-efficient daily schedules for implementing IEPs.
• Follow student health care procedures as specified.
• Maintain a safe environment and confidentiality of information.
• Follow MSSD policies and guidelines.
• Carry out daily self-care tasks as needed.
• Maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
