Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.
• Experience with ARD/IEP processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional/therapeutic/skill development programs and document preparation.
• Plan and use strategies, activities, and materials matching student learning styles.
• Work with classroom teachers to modify curricula and support SPED students in general classes.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines.
• Use varied instructional techniques and media to meet needs of each student.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology in teaching/learning process.
