Job summary

Anova Education is looking for a Special Education Teacher to join Bellingham Memorial School. The ideal candidate will create a supportive learning environment for students with disabilities, developing Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) to help them thrive academically.

This position entails direct instructional support, collaboration with parents and staff, and adherence to special education laws. Ideal candidates will have MA DESE Certification and experience in inclusive settings, along with excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students within inclusion, small group and individual settings.
• Experience with social/emotional needs preferred.
• Experience delivering specialized instruction targeting individual student goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs).
• Administer and interpret academic assessments.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of state and federal special education laws

Ability to work collaboratively with staff

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to implement positive behavioral interventions

Education

MA DESE Certification in Moderate Disabilities

Massachusetts Certification in Elementary 1-6
