Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of NC Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• TB screening and health examination prior to employment are required.
• Criminal background check as required by NC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support teaching staff in providing developmentally appropriate care and education.
• Assist with play-based, developmentally appropriate activities and lessons.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
• Engage with children to foster exploration, curiosity, and learning.
• Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere.
