Job summary

Carolina School Services is seeking an Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher to provide individualized PE services to students with disabilities in the Charlotte area. You will assess, plan, and implement APE programs aligned with IEP goals and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Education or Adapted Physical Education.
• Valid NC teaching license with Adapted Physical Education certification or eligibility.
• Experience with children with disabilities in school or pediatric settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Adapted Physical Education evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized APE programs aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct APE services to students in school and community settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, school staff, and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Adapt equipment, activities, and environments to support student success.
