Mercy is seeking an X-Ray Tech supervised by licensed professionals to perform diagnostic radiology procedures. You will obtain high-quality radiographs while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care across all age groups, from neonate to geriatric, under Mercy’s imaging department standards.

Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment, maintaining image quality, and recognizing emergencies.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; basic computer knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Perform radiographic imaging procedures to obtain optimal image quality.
• Provide personalized patient care across all ages from neonate to geriatric.
• Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards in imaging.
• Operate X-ray equipment under supervision of licensed staff.
• Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately to maintain patient safety.

Under the supervision of a licensed X-Ray Technologist, the X-Ray Supervisor, Manager/Director of Imaging Services and Radiologist, performs diagnostic radiology procedures. Responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures while obtaining optimal image quality. Provides personalized care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric.

Performs all duties and responsibilities consistent with Mercy's mission, vision and values.

Position Details

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Currently enrolled in a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Licensure:
• Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification.
• Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.
• Working conditions, mental and physical requirements: This individual must be capable of: manipulating X-ray equipment including mobile and other equipment; carrying cassettes; selecting and manipulating exposure factors, evaluating radiographs; lifting, moving and transporting patients' continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to fast pace daily workload; communicating effectively.
