Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated security professional to protect coworkers, patients, and visitors by providing fire, safety, and security coverage. You will promote prevention practices and perform duties in alignment with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

The role requires a HS diploma, a valid driver’s license, and timely licensure within state requirements. Qualified candidates will complete required Public Safety/Security courses within 180 days of hire and obtain licensure as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Public Safety/Security licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire.
• IAHSS certification prerequisites as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy's coworkers, patients, and visitors.
• Promotes and practices fire and safety prevention.

Position Details:

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Education:
  • High School Diploma
  • 18 years of age or older
• Licensure:
  • Valid State drivers license
  • Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 90 days of hire)
• Experience
• Certification/Registration:
  • Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire (May be done as part of licensure) Federal, State, and Municipal licensure allowable timeframes will have precedence over internally established timeframes for IAHSS certification.

Other Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to read and write the English language
