Job description

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

What we do

Ad Policy Operations is a global team that exists to empower partners and advertisers by ensuring clear, consistent, and actionable ad content policies. Our goal is to make navigating policy simple and transparent, so that brands and agencies can confidently run campaigns that align with both platform requirements and their business objectives.

What you’ll do

Ad Policy Operations Analysts are the day‑to‑day operators that mitigate risk globally and ensure compliance with TTD policies and best practices. A typical day is spent fielding commercial team inquiries, answering policy questions as a TTD policy subject matter expert, reviewing creatives for compliance with policy, engaging with Legal and Data Privacy teams for guidance, and executing essential processes to ensure clients remain in compliance.

  • Receive and triage inbound ad policy support tickets, providing best in class support to clients and commercial teams.
  • Work cross functionally with colleagues from data support, legal, inventory partnerships, data partnerships, product, etc. to collaborate on policy issues.
  • Maintain platform compliance by ensuring sensitive category ads adhere to content standards.
  • Support cross‑collaborative efforts for third party data management from a policy perspective.
  • Develop strong working relationships with commercial teams and become a trusted advisor on global policy issues.
  • Assist in the management of documentation on company intranet.
  • Coordinate logistics for global policy training to drive awareness and understanding of various policies.
  • 1st line response to commercial inquiries during normal business hours.
  • Support policy enforcement efforts using internal reporting and third‑party scanning integrations.
  • Assist with weekly standup meetings.
Who you are
  • 3‑5 years of relevant work experience, bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience preferred).
  • Educational and/or professional background in Ad Tech, trust and safety, data privacy, government affairs, political science, customer support and related fields preferred.
  • Ability to be accurate, efficient, and objective in complex, ambiguous situations; and find the correct solution with minimal guidance.
  • Some working experience with policy application and knowledge of the ad tech space and key policy issues affecting the open internet is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Technical: proficiency in Jira. Salesforce, Confluence, Excel, OneDrive, Microsoft Office or comparable tools. Basic SQL, familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, VAST/VPAID desired but not required.
  • Language: in addition to English proficiency, language skills in a second language are a plus.
