Job summary

Aultman Hospital, part of Aultman Health Foundation, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care, patient and family teaching, and teamwork within the nursing department. The unit supports telemetry and medical/surgical patients, with a focus on safety and quality care.

Required: Ohio LPN license, BLS; NIHSS within 90 days; CNCC within six months; IV certification preferred. Strong communication and collaboration with RNs and hospital staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
• IV Certification, preferred.
• NIHSS within 90 days of hire; CNCC certification within six months of hire; Bedside Swallow Screening competency.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in basic nursing service, knowledge, and skills.
• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation.
• Documents nursing activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and collaborates with the RN and health care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed; observes and reports adverse reactions.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
