Job summary

Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care, patient and family teaching, and to work cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team.

Under the direction of the RN and in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, you will document care, administer medications as prescribed, and support safe, high-quality nursing practice in Memorial 6 South.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active licensure as an LPN through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Obtain and maintain AHA BLS training.
• IV Certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in basic nursing service, knowledge, and skills.
• Documents nursing activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Administers treatments and medications as prescribed; observes patient responses and reports adverse reactions.
• Collects specimens as ordered.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and others to conduct nursing practice.
• LPN is a patient advocate, promotes safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
