Job summary

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital ARU is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician - Acute Rehabilitation. This per diem position supports the rehabilitation team with patient care tasks, safe transport, and treatment setup under licensed therapists.

Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork are essential as you help patients reach therapy goals and maintain a safe, organized environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma and CPR certification, with 6–12 months of rehab experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months of relevant rehab setting experience recommended; on-the-job training after orientation.
• CPR certification required.
• Effective verbal and written communication; ability to follow directions; patient transport and safe lifting (up to 50 lbs); observation and basic documentation; reliability, teamwork and time management.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient care tasks as directed by OTR/RPT to help patients reach therapy goals.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicate clearly with rehabilitation team members.
• Observe patient reactions to treatment and follow instructions.
• Lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs; maintain safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
