Job summary

vTech Solution seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Acute Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine unit. You will provide skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population, including stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury, leveraging telemetry skills in a fast-paced rehab setting.

The role requires at least two years of medical-surgical nursing experience, an active NY RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license.
• Minimum of two years medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry monitoring experience.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult and pediatric patients with complex medical and rehabilitative needs.
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning tailored to rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including therapists, physicians, and social workers to coordinate patient care.
• Offer clinical and emotional encouragement to patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient cardiac status.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in unit policy adherence including holiday and weekend coverage as required.
