Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must enroll within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Promotes patient and family education and discharge planning.
