Job summary

Maria Parham Health in Henderson, NC is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work under a licensed Physical Therapist in an acute rehabilitation setting. You will deliver therapy, implement individualized plans, monitor progress and ensure safe care delivery, supporting mobility and independence for adult and geriatric patients.

The role includes patient and caregiver education, discharge planning, and accurate documentation in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Current PTA state licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Inpatient Rehabilitation, Acute Care, and/or Outpatient setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy services under PT supervision in an acute rehabilitation setting.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, restore function and maintain independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education; maintain accurate documentation.
